The Archivio dell'Ottocento Romano was founded in 2003 by a team of researchers and lecturers (Gianluca Berardi, Teresa Sacchi Lodispoto, Sabrina Spinazzè). The main aims of this association are the gathering of documents on the Roman Art of the 19th century (catalogues, monographs, bibliographies and photographs on various supports, correspondence and archives) and the spreading of the knowledge of the figurative art of the19th century by means of exhibitions, conferences, publications, courses and lectures. This archive aims to become a point of reference for the scholars and collectors of the 19th century-art by filling the gap of the studies on the Roman art of the 19th century and by providing new inputs for the scholarly research.
