The Archivio dell'Ottocento Romano was founded in 2003 by a team of researchers and lecturers (Gianluca Berardi, Teresa Sacchi Lodispoto, Sabrina Spinazzè). The main aims of this association are the gathering of documents on the Roman Art of the 19^th century (catalogues, monographs, bibliographies and photographs on various supports, correspondence and archives) and the spreading of the knowledge of the figurative art of the19^th century by means of exhibitions, conferences, publications, courses and lectures. This archive aims to become a point of reference for the scholars and collectors of the 19^th century-art by filling the gap of the studies on the Roman art of the 19^th century and by providing new inputs for the scholarly research.
